Wombat day trip

Description:   This trip is designed for new members who have recently completed driver training and are eager to put their new skills into practice, but it’s open to all members.

Wombat state forest is relatively close to Melbourne and has a wide variety of tracks; we plan to stick to easy and medium tracks depending on weather conditions. The exact route is not firm and subject to change on the day.

It’s a relatively relaxed day and a chance to have a bit of fun, meet some of the club members and use some of your new skills.

Weather:  Check local weather the day before the trip.

Equipment:  Bring basic recovery gear; sanctum straps and shackles, gloves hats and glasses and clothes suitable for the likely conditions. Cars should be in good condition and all terrain tyres will the tracks easier.

Don’t forget to bring your morning tea and lunch.

Please leave pets at home.

Trip Standard: Medium - Most of the main tracks will be easy but there will be several obstacles and track sections that will be more difficult (medium to hard, depending on weather and track conditions). A chance to practice some skills!

FuelA full tank from Melbourne should be plenty.

Distance: Approximately 85km

Duration: 1 day

Convoy limit4 vehicles plus 4 reserves spaces for new members.  If you are you would like to come along and the trip is full, please add your name to the waitlist.  New members will be given preference, followed by the next on the waitlist.
